Star Frontier Gondwana

Situated high upon the Serpens Rift, the Star Frontier of Gondwana lies just beyond the Inner Spheres, approaching the upper galactic periphery. A deep abyss separates it from the thriving stellar nurseries and main outward thrust of humankind's Twin Civilizations.

Through much of history, the abyss was scarcely braved at all, and to this day interstellar caravans from the Core are preciously few. Nevertheless, the star frontier has grown rich wonders built by progenitor civilizations, and prosperous with trade of those seeking them.

It is a sector on the precipice of galactic space, of human civilization, knowledge and light. Strange phenomena and worlds abound, and rumors of darkness rife with malice. To survive here takes a certain breed, and this is reflected in the strange and hardy strands of humanity that have come to build their kingdoms under these far-flung suns.

Scale

hexagonal divisions of the star map Gondwana

Gondwana is charted in major and minor hexagonal sections. Nine minor hexes make up one major hex section.

Each lesser hexagon represents one stellar sphere, on average five light years apart.

Concrete proportional distances and elevation are not taken into account on conventional star charts not used in interstellar navigation.

The approximate scope of Gondwana:

  • expanse north to south - 240 light years

  • expanse east to west - 455 light years

  • total stellar spheres - 4368 stars
