There is no starship more prevalent around the Hallowed Ring as the Agathauma. It is a proud lineage of starships renown for their versatility and good fortune, serving many clades as fief, home to their many thousand souls, and as backbone to the fleets of their Clades Superior. No two starships are the same, yet the lineage Agathauma is lauded for remarkable cohesion in both function and design.
Born of an age of strife and isolation, the vessels Agathauma are made to withstands the hardships of the latter Cosmic Winter, the onslaught of starfire, sects, and interlopers. Despite prominent arms and relative proficiency in battle, the Agathauma is of no warlike disposition, but rather made to survive alone in regions beyond the purview of Imperial security and the Union's dominance. Agathauma ships have seen deployment in the massed fleets of greater Mechanist Union campaigns, but always earned their greatest fame in sole ventures onto the frontier.
Workshops and observatories, sub-clade hibernation vaults and crystalline Matrixes allow the ship to carry and exercise a wealth of Mechanist expertise. It is enough to conduct extensive repairs, erect outposts, and build reconaissance networks, to gather and collate intelligence, and to develop to local assets upon initial contact.
Starships of the Lineage Agathauma are Cambrias' Pioneers and occasional explorers, first to bring the word of the Union to new worlds, to establish the paths on which the rest of the Union follows.
